Fit

Who it's for

For a retailer or maker ready to sell online directly — currently limited to a marketplace, social selling, or an old cart that costs more in fees than it earns.

For anyone tired of losing margin and customer data to a third-party platform.

Not the right fit if…

Not the right fit if you’re not selling physical or bookable products online yet — a Business Website is the right starting point until you are.

Millrace Home concept case
Concept project, not a client commission.

Millrace Home

Millrace Home is a fictional homewares shop, imagined for a retailer selling through social media and a marketplace stall, paying a cut of every sale to do it. The brief: an owned shop with its own products, its own customer list, and an identity that references Drogheda’s mill and linen history without being twee about it. No client exists — this is a concept built to show how we’d approach that brief.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Shopify or WooCommerce — who decides?

We agree it together at kick-off, based on your product count, budget for ongoing platform fees, and whether you want a hosted platform (Shopify) or full control on your own hosting (WooCommerce).

Are platform and payment provider fees included in the price?

No — the build price covers design, development and set-up. Platform subscription fees and card payment processing fees are paid directly by you to Shopify/WooCommerce and your payment provider, same as any online shop.

What if I have more than 250 products?

Tell us the real number at Discover — larger catalogues are scoped and priced as a custom project, not squeezed into the Shop 250 tier.

Do you handle VAT set-up?

We configure the VAT rules you tell us apply to your business; confirming your correct VAT treatment and registration is your accountant’s call, not ours.
